The first thing you need to know about the Briggs Softworks-developed application CryptaFlix is what it is and what it can do for you. I will try to provide you with a comprehensive and to the point explanation. Here goes: CryptaFlix is actually a combination of two applications, mainly a media player and an encryption utility.

As a media player, CryptaFlix can, well, play media files. You can use CryptaFlix to view videos as the application provides support for various video formats, like AVI, DivX, XviD, and MPG. As a file encryption utility, CryptaFlix can rapidly encrypt video files using 256-bit AES encryption. This way you can ensure that you and only you have access to those videos.

Here are a few other bits and pieces CryptaFlix can do:
- Videos are decrypted on-the-fly directly into memory while playing. No temporary files needed.
- Create self-playing movie files that can decrypt and display themselves without requiring a separate viewing program.
- Password Queue allows a single password entry to open up multiple encrypted movies during a single session.
- Wipe function permanently erases the source files after they’ve been encrypted.
